We are excited to announce our newest program, Encore! A Classical Music & Dinner Series at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art. This program is launching with two programs, a concert with the Gulfport High School Chamber Orchestra on September 21st , and a second with Michael Harold and Quinn Peeper of Classical Shindig on October 26th. You can either pay for each concert or get tickets to both for our series.

We are delighted to host Michael Harold & Quinn Peeper, authors of “Classical Shindig” for a concert and book signing of their new book, Classical Shindig, Amateur Artistry: From the Simple to the Sublime.  The duo will be entertaining us with an evening of piano and we will have a dinner provided by Salute Italian Restaurant.

Wine, dine, and be swept away by the talented piano duo, Michael Harold and Quinn Peeper. Copies of their book, Classical Shindig, will be available for purchase thanks to Pass Christian Books.

This program was supported with a grant from Coastal Mississippi. This event was also supported in part by Classical 104.9.

About the Book:

CLASSICAL SHINDIG
Amateur Artistry: From the Simple to the Sublime

MICHAEL HAROLD AND QUINN PEEPER

Make the acquaintance of two of New Orleans’ most beloved hosts and concert pianists, Michael and Quinn, who sure do know their shindigs. From seasonal celebrations to iconic book clubs to lavish parties for family, friends, and non-profits, Michael and Quinn have seen, done, and decorated it all.

Enjoy the pairs’ authentic sense of style and design in their lush home and garden while exploring the joys of throwing unique and personal events. The pages are filled with hundreds of delightful photographs captured by twelve renowned Southern photographers that showcase the abundance of Michael and Quinn’s nineteenth-century home. Come away with entertaining, hosting, and interior design tips and tricks that even an amateur can execute.

Complete with thirty recipes for every occasion, QR codes of recorded concertos, delightful stories from Mississippi County, Arkansas, to the streets of New Orleans, and by way of New York to include the British monarchy and everyone in between—there’s nothing these two won’t do to celebrate their love of food, music, and people.
