DESCRIPTION:Celebrate American Heritage with Pine Needle Basketry\nIn this 3 hour class\, you’ll learn to make a beautiful and unique 3” to 5” basket with longleaf pine needles and waxed sinew.  No prior experience is necessary\, only patience and pine needles are the main ingredients for this natural and versatile basket. What better way to keep tuned to Mother Nature than to gather fragrant pine needles from her forest floor and sew them into baskets of natural beauty. All supplies for this class will be furnished by the instructor.\n\nTime: 1:00 – 4:00pm (2nd floor Biloxi Center for Ceramics)\nInstructor: Tracey Pace\nLevel: Ages 18+ no experience necessary\nInstructor “Basket Case”\nStacey Pace is a retired educator from the Lamar County School District. She and her husband moved to Ocean Springs over 4 years ago. She has been making pine needles baskets for over 12 years and was even chosen “Best in Show” at the Fairhope Arts Festival in 2012. \nRefunds less credit card fee are available up to 7 days before the class begins. After that period\, the fee is non-refundable. However\, you may transfer your ticket to a friend.
