DESCRIPTION:Join Zach Sierke for an evening talk exploring his life in clay and the traditions that shape his work. Drawing from years of experience in anagama wood-firing\, Zach will discuss techniques for achieving specific surface effects\, the mechanisms and meaning behind working with wild clays\, and the rich ceramic history of Mobile Bay. He will also share stories of his family’s deep connections to the region’s longstanding clay traditions. \nThis special evening program is presented as an addition to the full Wild Clay Immersion Workshop Weekend. \nFree Event Open to the Public \nThis artist talk is funded in part by a grant from South Arts
