DESCRIPTION:mOhr Mahjong\, a Museum Fundraiser\nSaturday\, October 24\, 2026 | 12:30-4:00 PM\nOhr-O’Keefe Museum of Art\nMississippi Sound Welcome Center \nJoin us for an afternoon of mahjong\, live music\, champagne\, sweet treats\, prizes\, and plenty of fun at mOhr Mahjong\, a special fundraiser benefiting the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art’s Children’s Art Education Program. \nThe afternoon begins at 12:30 PM with live piano music by Grace Darling\, along with time to mingle\, mix\, enjoy refreshments\, and settle in before mahjong play begins. \nEvent Schedule\n12:30-1:30 PM\nLive piano music by Grace Darling\nMingle & Mixer\nChampagne\, dessert bar\, and coffee \n1:30-3:30 PM\nMahjong play\nFun games and door prizes \n3:30-4:00 PM\nRaffle drawing\, prizes\, and closing festivities \nTickets\n$300 per table (table for 4)\n$75 per person \nEach event ticket includes one raffle ticket. And how do they create art with a message that\nmatters? \nA lively\, humorous and entertaining speaker\, artist Eric Serritella reveals his journey in “Sharing\nSpaces” a PowerPoint presentation filled with images that bring this story to life. He sheds light\non how he expresses himself through his ceramic trompe l’oeil sculptures and explores how both\nhis conscious and subconscious contributed to the development of several bodies of work\,\nculminating with his signature birch master works and why they matter. Plan to leave with new\nknowledge\, perspectives and laughs on the inner workings of an artist’s mind. \nOriginally from New York\, Eric is now a North Carolina based ceramic artist specializing in hand-\ncarved trompe l’oeil vessels transformed into birch and weathered logs\, along with colorful works\nin cast glass. His one-of-a-kind sculptures are internationally recognized and have been\nexhibited\, awarded and collected on five continents for their exquisite design and incredibly\nrealistic textures. \nDozens of Serritella’s works are included in public collections\, including among others The\nMetropolitan Museum of Art\, the Smithsonian American Art Museum\, the Carnegie Museum of\nArt\, the Museum of Fine Arts\, Houston and the Mint Museum.
