Exhibition Statement- We are so thrilled to bring this annual show to the George Ohr Museum. This annual show travels each year around the state and showcases artist who are members of the Mississippi State Committee of NMWA. We have over 25 artist with all types of mediums .

Opening Reception in celebration of Women’s History Month March 20
The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) located in Washington D.C. is the only major museum in the world dedicated exclusively to recognizing the contributions to the arts of women artist. NMWA is supported by a network of state and international committees, of which the Mississippi State Committee (MSC) is among the most active.
The MSC was organized by Gulf Coast resident Gladys Kemp Lisanby in 1998 at the invitation of NMWA Founder and Chair, Wilhemina Cole Holiday. Goals were established to encourage and advance the work of Mississippi women artists.
Artists participating: Grace Buchanan, Michele Drane Smith, George Ann McCullough, Mary Hardy, Jamie Tate, Betty Press, Adrea Kistyal, Suzi Altman, Vanda McCormick, Leslie Dobbins, Kathy Tosch, Rebecca Alson, and Ellen Langford.
