Exhibition Statement:
The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art proudly unveils African American Selections from the Permanent Collection, marking the first public presentation of the Museum’s permanent holdings. This landmark exhibition celebrates the depth and diversity of the artists and cultural narratives represented within our collection, offering visitors a rare opportunity to engage with works that form the foundation of OOMA’s artistic legacy.

By bringing these works together for the first time, African American Selections from the Permanent Collection reflects the Museum’s commitment to preserving regional heritage, fostering artistic innovation, and sharing the stories that shape the cultural landscape of Coastal Mississippi.

Exhibition Dates: November 20, 2025 through February 7, 2026
