Art After School is an art program for children ages 10 – 18. This program strengthens technical skills while allowing young artists to develop their unique visual language and creative expression. Classes meet weekly and are grouped into monthly sessions. Each month focuses on a particular medium or method of making, allowing students time to fully explore the materials and gain creative confidence.
This class offers both instruction and guided critique and is adjusted to each student’s skill level. This class is great for beginner students who are showing an aptitude for visual art, and advanced students who may be developing a college portfolio.
For the month of April, students will explore fiber art! They will make felt critters, woven tapestries, and batik paintings all while learning basic weaving and sewing methods.
