Join artist Mary Louise Porter for a 3-hour plein air workshop at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art! En plein air, “in the open air,” refers to the act of painting outdoors. This workshop is an opportunity to experience the plein air painting and drawing process with the guidance of an experienced artist. You will learn how to frame subject matter, describe perspective, and express dappled light and texture all while exploring our museum’s unique landscape and architecture. This workshop is open to all forms of painting and drawing materials, however, students are encouraged to bring materials they are most comfortable using. This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced painting and drawing students.
