US Congressman Mike Ezell Sponsors Fourth Congressional District Art Competition
It is with great pleasure that I announce our winning entrant in this year’s competition: Through the Ages by Maya Venkat from Sacred Heart Catholic School is our first place winner. Maya’s artwork will be displayed for a full year in the Cannon Tunnel which connects the U.S. Capitol and the U.S. House of Representatives. Maya will also be invited to Washington, D.C. for a special awards ceremony in June. I am so honored to have Maya’s artwork representing the Fourth Congressional District of Mississippi.
This year’s second place award went to Fuzzy Wuzzy by Isabell Caughron. Ocean Springs High School and third place to Glass Eyed Snapper by Julie Lippo, Ocean Springs High School. Additionally, I would like to extend Honorable Mentions to Ginger Rigney, Petal High School and Alexandra Gandy, Hattiesburg High School.
This year’s entries were exceptional, all contributors are to be commended for a job well done.
