Emily Brannan
Fruitless
John and James L. Knight Pavilion Pod 1
Rough Translation:
After my father cast me out of my home realm, I found myself in a strange land. I, Job, sought shelter in this luminous structure. Here I wait, for what I am unsure. My body has become overrun with grief; my sorrows and woes pour from my shell. I have begun to string them up and tend to them to see what will come of it. An activity sought to quiet my mind from wondering how my father could reject me so. I wait. I weave. I contemplate.
