Luzene Hill is a multi-media and performance artist. She is a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Hill utilizes Indigenous matrilineal motifs to address issues of violence against women, rape, vulnerability, and trauma. Her work draws from interdisciplinary scholarship in visual art, women’s studies, and Native American culture – all topics that are integral to her background and training.
Hill is the recipient of many awards, fellowships and residencies and her work has been exhibited throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Russia, Japan and the UK.
