Trinh Nguyen

A Taste of Vietnam

The City of Biloxi Center for Ceramics 2nd Floor

Trinh Nguyen was born and raised in Vietnam. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in May 2021, she further expanded her knowledge on oil painting at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS, where she had the opportunities to share her works in a variety of group exhibitions with the Oxford community. Inspired by my her surroundings and Vietnamese heritage, she has created a number of works ranging from the landscape to portraits. With her recent series at the University of Mississippi, she practiced with the trompe-l’œil technique with her paintings of food while exploring the feeling of happiness surrounded by loved ones during a family meal. Furthermore, she had the chance to study a variety of art forms, such as ceramics, sculpture, photography, graphic design, web design, and book arts at the University of Mississippi.
