Busenlener lives and paints in Pearlington, Mississippi. Using a personal language of form and gesture, she makes intuitive layered abstracts and more realistic paintings of trees, waterscapes, and fish. Busenlener states that in the past year, she chose to create her abstract paintings in peaceful isolation in her rural Mississippi studio. “Because of the gift of isolation and greater time.
